Eureka to Vallejo- 288 miles...down Hwy 101

well waking up in Eureka it was stormy so after waiting out some rain and hoping to dry the rest of my stuff from yesterday i finally got on the road...it was around 51degrees...Brrrrr!!  hahaha to me
Nice ride South down 101...just about 30 miles down and i take a scenic detour down Avenue of the Giants!  no traffic, very wet and chilly but O so incredible...
highlight of the day for sure!
then back on 101...stopped in a small town for coffee and a warm up...after that 101 south ....through Mendocino County, which is rolling hills, gentle curving highway enough to sway you to sleep...and vineyard country, which not only looks beautiful on the hills and valleys..but smells lovely too!!
made it to Mike's house where i will be staying a couple nights...rest up and check the moto out!!  lots of miles to go..need everything to be intip top shape...
nice view, comfy room, gracious host, welcoming cat!  life is great!
Even though most of the day was cold and rainy...the sun came out and welcomed me properly to California!
