Bandon to Eureka...Rain Rain Rain..high winds and more Rain!!

whew!  what a brutal day...started out drizzly...but then rained hard all day long...got soaked to the bone...only made it 211.4 miles...and barely that!
the beauty was lost on the very low visibility...

the highlight was being invited to Les Stansell's house...and having a lovely visit and lunch with him and his wife Mary....they let me warm my bones by the fire in their beautiful slice of heaven....got a tour of his guitar making shop...and then he played 2 samples of his beautiful flamenco style hand crafted guitars...one of white cedar and one of myrtlewood...
what a lovely treat...made my day!

dry now, full on pizza and now drying out all my clothes...hope they are ready for the morning...waterproof gloves..Pffttt!!  hardly!!
